I've been asked to make a card by one of Fae's work colleagues. She asked for a wedding anniversary card for her parents. I'm always a little nervous about making cards for other people, just in case they hate it! In this case i hope she doesn't like it cos i just adore it and want to keep it myself to stroke for a while ... much like the yellow one i did for Paula ... which i have asked her to ask for it back when they've finished with it LOL! Plus its my first attempt at an Easel Card!!!

I took inspiration for Hanna's blog. She has made the most gorgeous creations and i love all her little embellishments. Hence my use of press studs, which i think are an absolutely fantabulous idea ... wonder if i could use hook and eye's i have a zillion of those from my dressmaking days!

  2. Hi Jilli Stalker.......lol!!!
So nice to meet you today.
    Thanks for visiting my blog.
To answer your question about the petroleum jelly........it is used to stop the acrylic paint drying over where I need to wipe it off. So all the gold/green areas that are showing on the card were where I applied the jelly. The red areas are the acrylic paint.
    It's a really fun technique.
