Cute Card Thursday - Challenge 3

Challenge 3 People As we had 'All Creatures Great and Small' as our challenge last week, we think it's only fair to have 'People' as the theme for this week. Any people image is fine, it could be Magnolias, Bellas, Nellies, Lolas or any others.
The only rubber stamps I have with people are Rubber Romance, If fact they're the only rubber stamps I have! lol. So, the first card is Jenelle with a kitty, Iused free papers from Crafts Beautiful website for the backing paper, some scrap card that I put through the Cuttlebug in the swirly folder. Flowers from Aunty Sarah's, brad from a PIF i received. Sentiment stamp is also Rubber Romance, one of the freebies you get with an order.

This card is also Rubber Romance, Amy on a bike. I used the same backing paper, the happy birthday cuttlebug folder and flowers from the same place. Sentiment is again a freebie sent with order.
Received another Rubber Romance order yesterday, can't wait to play with them, but I have a busy weekend with Fae's 21st celebrations. Have a friend coming from London tomorrow to stay till Sunday and Rylee staying overnight on Saturday so that Fae can get drunk! Boo hoo! not getting my precious 48 hours of freedom this week!

Fae's 21st

As promised I'm now ready to show Fae's party bags etc, ready for her celebration meal on Saturday and whilst I have a spare few minutes this morning before I take Ellie to have her removable brace fitted I thought I'd upload the photos.....

Fae loves handbag's so i decided to go with that theme. These invites were made using a bag template downloaded from somewhere on the internet (will find it later and put a link to it) I printed Kay Millar Sugar 'n' Spice on plain white cardstock. I added a flower cut using a punch and added a gem. The handle is made from chenille pipe cleaner thingy's.

These cake boxes are made with the same paper and a template from Meggiecat found on the internet. I embellished with gems and the dots left on peel offs.
The party bags are made using pink petticoat apers and another bag template from the internet. I used the same punch for the name labels and some organza ribbon for the handles. We're using these for place settings. There filled with Opal Fruits (Starbursts) one of Fae's favourite sweets, a party popper and a trolley token.

Cute Card Thursday - All Creatures Great and Small!

Challenge 2 at Cute Card Thursday is "All Creatures Great and Small!" This week we would like to see creatures on your cards, they can be animals, birds, fish even dinosaurs or dragons. Absolutely any creature imaginable!

I made this card for my sister and friend from Rylee back in February, but not had a chance to upload it to my blog and seeing this challenge I thought it was the ideal time to do it!
Both of them love cats, so I used the template from Crafty Templates, black felt, black card, silver thread, a pink heart from stash, wobbly eyes from Wilko's and some marabu left over from my Christmas cards. His mouth and ears were drawn with my clear sakura pen and his feet with my silver stardust sakura pen.

I hope this fits the bill!

Some Quickies!

Made some quicky cards over the weekend initially to replenish my card tin, but Ellie took them to work and sold them all! Looks like I might be having another busy weekend, what with finishing Fae's partyware, which I will show you soon, I promise.
As you can see I've been buying Rubber Romance stamps again! These cards are made using the "Madame" stamp. I printed Pink Petticoat directly onto the card, something I've not done before, but will definately be doing again. I layered the image onto shiny black card and added Poundland bling and ribbon that Fae had tied round something she'd brought.
Printed Pink Petticoat onto card, layered "Gigi is winking" onto scrap card and embellished. Bling from poundland, ribbon from local market, blooms from Aunty Sarah's.

Again, I printed directly onto the card with Pink Petticoat. This stamp is "Sarah with a rose", I've paper pieced this stamp since doing these but have yet to photograph them. Ribbon, bling and blooms from the usual place.
Do you think I have an addiction to Rubber Romance? I must admit to having placed another order on Sunday and once they arrive I'll be doing my card for the Papertake Weekly Challenge, just hoping they arrive before next Monday!

Last weekend I received some fab Pif candy from Nikki along with a beautiful spring card. I've just not had the energy until today to sort out my blog and do much else. Anyhow, here is what Nikki sent me, minus the blooms and other bits and bobs, cos Andy decided to put them away for me!

I now have 3 Pif's up for grabs, which include my fab new stamps from Rubber Romance, that I also got last week. So, the first 3 replies to this post get some Pif candy from me...

I've also got another one to do so watch this space!

Sandy and The Dragons Fire please mail me your address so that I can post your PIF out. If I've not heard from you by Friday I shall be offering it to the next 2 people that replied to the original post.

Driving Test Update!

Just to update...Ellie failed her driving test on Sunday - speeding and not using her mirrors! Not a good sign lol!

Sorry I've not posted earlier, my darling grandson has given me Laryngitis. Bless him for sharing! So, i'm on anti-biotics and feeling a bit rough. Not really felt like crafting but have had a few bits to do that people have ordered. I'll post them when I'm feeling better.

My silly daughter, got to the test centre produced all her documents and found she had left the paper piece of her driving licence at home! The kind examiner gave me 3 minutes to get to the test centre with it. The test centre is about 5 minutes away, which he fully knew! She got home devastated, walked through the door in tears. But, all is now well and D-Day is now on Sunday! Great!!!!!

D Day!

D Day = Driving test day! I'm sat here at the moment feeling sick! It's not even my driving test, i did mine 13 years ago. Ellie has her first test in an hour, she seems fine but me....I'm a bag of jelly babies, my stomach is churning, my hands are shaking as I type, I feel awful! I'm desperately trying to keep myself occupied. Even Rylee's not much use, he's fell asleep, bless him! Anyway I shall go and carry on looking at everyones card that has entered the Papertake Weekly Challenge and report back when I have news!

More PIF!

Yesterday I recieved more Pif through the letterbox, another one from Jo and one from Tracie . Here is what I got from Jo...
and from Tracie ...

Thanks girls I know have some fab images to use on my cards, can't wait for the weekend!
So, I now have PIF to send out. The first 6 people to leave a reply to this post will recieve goodies from me. By the way I also recieved some fab new stamps from Rubber Romance yesterday that I've included in my PIF!

Be there or be square - Papertake Weekly Challenge

This weeks Papertake Weekly challenge is Squares! Square cards, square patterns or squares on your layout!

So here's mine...

I've used free paper from Raspberry Road "Kimmy Paper" and an image that I recieved in my first PIF from Jo, that I've coloured using twinkling H2O's and sakura stardust pens. The flower centres are coloured sand. Poundland bling, ribbon from stash and a peel off.

Fae's 21 on the 27th of this month and as Scott (the boyfriend) proved he was a typical man and got Fae nothing for Mother's Day from Rylee, quoting the same old saying "Your not my Mum!" Rylee thought he'd better ask me to sort out his Mummy's card (like I'd fortunately done for Mother's Day, along with the photo in one of the posts below in a poundland frame). Jo had sent some fab images in her PIF and as soon as I saw this one I knew it was the one. Thanks Jo!

PIF!

I received my first PIF today from Jo , thanks Jo, I love it! This is what she sent me...

I was so excited when the postman delivered it and I can't wait to play with it. I would've done so today, but I spent most of the morning putting my PIF together and suffering from a hangover - wouldn't have been so bad if it had been me out on the razzle last night, but it was Ellie, who I might add woke up without the headache. I can't sleep until I know she's safely tucked up in bed and she didn't get home until 2.15am! The joys of being a mother ... when does that start?!
Anyway, I'm sure you know the drill. The first 3 people to reply to this post will receive some goodies from me. Good Luck!
