For Our Two Special Ladies ..... Trish & Nanna (Renate)

.... those ladies have been a Godsend to us since they moved next door to my parents.  They have been with us through all the bad times, they've crying with us, :)) with us and just >:D< hugged us when we needed a hug.  Not only did they help us when Dad was :-& ... Trish gave Dad some Reiki and myself whilst I was sat outside in the October sunshine having a moment .... but since Dad died, they've been absolute  smileys, helping us by looking out for Mum and putting her cream on every morning and evening to save one of us having to go back to do it.

We wanted them to know how special they are to us and how much we appreciate what they do and have done.  That we don't take their kindness for granted!

So I put together this little gift basket ....

I cased the idea of the Vintage Cider and Spice Mix from Mina

Our ladies were thrilled with it all and after the  crying  we all shed came the beautiful :D.

love struck you both lots like Jelly Tots xxx

Bracelets and Boxes .....

I've been making a few beaded bracelets for stocking fillers this year  to help keep the cost of Christmas down and also cos I want to do a handmade Christmas as much as I possibly can .....

This bracelet is made using Blue, Teal and White glass pearl beads.

For this one I used Cream, Brown and Pink glass pearl beads

And finally this one used Red, Fuchsia and Pink glass pearl beads.  Each bracelet consists of 114 beads all loving hand wired by my poor sore hands LOL!

To gift wrap the bracelets i've been putting some of those laughing cow boxes to good use ...

To alter this box, i've used :-

CS ~ Stash
DP's ~ Summer Driggs ~ Old Fashioned Christmas
Sentiment ~ Create with TLC
Flowers, Ribbon, Gems ~ Stash
Tools ~ Snowflake punch, Nesties, Sewing Machine and copous amounts of glue LOL

Ice-Cream Sundae Gift Basket

I've got to the point whereby i hate buying presents for people unless it has a purpose. I've also sort of set myself a little challenge to send friends something a little bit different ... something that no-one else is liable to send them. Plus the fact what do you get someone who has most things?!
Off i went on a mission to find something that was going to be easy to put together and would suit my budget ... and thats something i find a gift basket does ... i can spend as little or as much as i can afford and no matter what, it still looks impressive! All wrapped in cellophane ready to go!
Without the cellophane for a better look ....
The box i used was the bottom of a shoe box from a gorgeous pair of those shoe/boots that i brought last week from a shoe party for £5! .... gone off on a bit of a tangent there lol!
CS ~ Stash.
DP's ~ Pink Petticoat.
Tissue Paper ~ Stash ... put through the paper shredder.
Tools ~ Dovecraft (i think) heart border punch.
Contents of box ~ 2 Sundae Glasses (£1.95 Morrisons), 2 Sundae Spoons (49p for 6 Instore), Askeys Continental Cones (99p Morrisons), Choc Wafers (65p Morrisons), Askeys Crackin' Ice-Cream Topping (93p BOGOF Morrisons), Hundreds & Thousands (85p Morrisons), Sugar Strands (Free from kitchen cupboard), Ice-Cream Scoop (£1.00 hardware shop), Strawberry's (45p Reduced Section Morrisons), Banana's (part of a huge bag 55p Reduced Section Morrisons), which makes a grand total of £7.86, but bear in mind i have 4 more spoons and strawberries and banana's to devour!

My friend Kim was absolutely thrilled when i gave this to her Tuesday night ... she even took it into work with her Wednesday so that she could show the girls there ... bless her! I most definately have a couple of people in mind for one of these, but i wont be saying who cos i know they have a nosey on her periodically!

Gift Basket As Promised

I promised to show you the gift basket i was putting together for my sister, just to let her know we're here for her. Its only a small one and has just a few of her favourite things in it, but still keeping her Weight Watchers points in mind.
Firstly i want to show the card i made yesterday again cos I've added some wire antennae to Tilda's head.

This is the basket all wrapped up in cellophane ....

It contains ...
Lavender Bubble Bath (see photo's below for altered glass jar)
Sugar Free Sweets (not only for her WW but she's also diabetic)
4 x one cup drinks sachets, all hot chocolate and all 1 WW point each
2 x Cadbury's Brunch Break Bars, 2.5 WW points each
A packet of Pink and White's
A scented candle and candle holder shaped like a beehive

This is how the jar started out that i filled with the Lavender bubble bath, with the help of Ellie who eats this disgusting stuff out of the jar, i ended up with this ....

After a good wash and titivating with some ribbon and Magnolia stamp, this is what i ended up with.

So the update on Beth is .... she arrived home last night at 7.50pm, came in, went to the bathroom, then made herself some toast, ate it in her bedroom and was asleep by about 8.30pm. She didn't go to work today, which gave my sister chance to have a good chat with her .... which to be honest we dont think has made much if any difference. She even had the cheek to ask her Mum to lend her £20, bearing in mind she only got paid 2 weeks ago this Friday and hasn't even paid all of her board yet ... she just keeps saying "yeah, i'm gonna get it from Tesco Express" or "the cashpoint has run out of money!" ... Obviously, i dont need to tell you ... she was told NO! pmsl! So, as my sister left to go to work at 3pm so did Beth taking her purse with her saying she needed to go and get her tyre sorted .... do you get the impression someones trying to pull a fast one? lol. Currently, i sit awaiting a text message from my sister to let me know when she's home ... its a bit too early at the minute for her to return as curfew time is 10.30pm.

For anyone who stalks me on Facebook ... Ellie was found at her sisters playing with the new kitten! She was convinced she'd text and told me but when she looked at her mobile she actually hadn't sent the message lol! I thought for a minute her and Beth where in competition!

Gift Basket

I thought i would do a quick post before i'm off to fat club for my weekly weigh in to show you what i've been doing on in my Rylee free time!

My cousin started chemotherapy on Monday and my parents, sister and I wanted to show we are thinking of her. Now my Mum's first thoughts were either a bouquet or a basket of fruit delivered to the door. Unfortunately, i can't justify paying vast amounts of money for not a lot of anything, so that was the end of those 2 ideas lol! I decided to do some research and using various website information came up with some hopefully useful gift basket contents.

This is the completed basket. The contents include: A fleece blanket, 2 pairs of soft fluffy socks, 2 magazines, 2 lip balms, Aveeno moisturiser and bath/shower oil, chicken soup and bowl, cup and one cup coffee sachets, tissues, a tin of hard sweets, MP3 player with a selection of her favourite songs, headphones, sensitive toothbrush and toothpaste, a selection of fruit flavoured tea bags (see photos below)...

This is the little teabag holder that i've made to match the card in my previous post. I used the same papers and cardstock.

... and added the instructions on the back.

I just love making these gift baskets and fortunately this time i remember to take photo's before it leaves at the weekend. Right i suppose i better think about going to get weigh and see if those Revel i had the other weekend have done any lasting damage ... i escaped it last week, but i dont expect to be so lucky this week! Wish me luck lol!!!!
