It's Better To Have Burnt and Lost .... Sketch Saturday Challenge #205

Last weeks rollerskating wasn't that bad, I did however bottle going in the big kid rink and instead chose to stay in the learner rink with a member of staff keeping me safe from all the kids! :D

We had such a busy week, transforming Mum's kitchen.  We painted all the cupboard doors, laid new flooring and replaced the taps ... and it took her half an hour to notice the kitchen looked different :-O

Recycling My Cards .....

Ok, call me tight if you want, I prefer frugal :D ... but if someone doesn't want to keep the cards I make ... which I don't have a problem with ... I want them back!  They are my babies  at the end of the day.  What I like to do is recycle them as much as possible, by changing the sentiment and verse and/or re-colouring the image ....

This is a card I made last year for the grandbabies to give their Mummy for her birthday ....

.... and this has had the skin re-coloured and the sentiment changed ....

... close up of the images ... "Bronte & Louis" merged with one of the "Diaper Crew"

Details of what we're used originally to make this card can be found HERE

Sending Warm Thoughts Your Way .... Sketch Saturday Challenge #203 & DP2 Challenge #130

This lateness is becoming a little bit of a habit!  I do apologize  once again, but I really don't know where the days are going!  Last week has passed in a blur .... with hospital, drs and family visits, grandbaby babysitting and a spot of retail therapy thrown in for good measure!

We've started a new project .... baby watch!   We've taken over Dad's greenhouse and planted lots of seeds we found in his drawer and we now have runner beans, beetroot, carrots, red onions, lettuce, purple sprouting and sunflowers growing.  I'm proudest of the runner beans, only cos they seem to grow the quickest so have the best results ....

ahhh how cute is he? :D

Debbie is the host of the DP2 challenge this week and has decided on the theme ...
"I see SPOTS" w/ a Mo Image!

Best Friend, Giggles & Fears, Secrets & Tears ..... Sketch Saturday Challenge #202 Paula's Sketch

to you all, I hope the Easter Bunny came and left you lots of chocolate!  We've got the pleasure of doing an Easter Egg hunt for the grandbabies some time today, but we're finding it difficult to get out of   this morning after such a hectic few days.

Friday I told about the plans for that day in preparation for yesterday's "Project Gravel Move" ... :-?, the best laid plans .... Paula fell off the garden whilst carrying a large full plastic plant pot.  She landed in a heap on the path on top of the plant pot.  After trying to persuade her all day to let us take her to A&E she eventually gave in  and we arrived there at 8.00pm.  4 hours later we had a diagnosis of a "cracked rib", a box full of painkillers and strict instructions from the  to do no sports or heavy lifting for 2 weeks.   So 1 man down, 6 hours, no accidents and "2 tonnes" of gravel later Mum had a very pretty, low maintenance garden :D

This weeks Sketch Saturday Challenge is hosted by the fab Paula and sponsored by .....

Christy has kindly offered one lucky winner a $10.00 gift certificate :D/.  All you need to do is follow Paula's sketch below...
