I can now show the cards that I made over the weekend. They were all posted yesterday and as far as I know have been received today.

This card was made for Barbara just to let her know we're thinking of her. CS ~ Papermill, DP ~ leftover (still trying to use all my paper and card scraps up), ribbon ~ stash, image ~ RAK from Jill, (thanks honey) coloured with Whisper Markers and Sakura Glaze, hat ~ RAK from Pearl.

This card I made for Jill, who has been feeling a little sad and anxious lately. I just wanted to send her a hug and let her know that I'm here if she needed me. CS & DP again leftovers, peel-offs stash, image ~ coloured with Whisper Markers and Sakura Glaze pens, flowers ~ stash, gems ~ stash and corner thingys ~ cut using new Cuttlebug die.

This last card has taken me 2 days to make. Most of one of those was spent choosing which image to use. So..... CS ~ Crafts Central, DP and image ~ Joanna Sheen, Jane Netley Mayhew CD, ribbon and peel-off ~ stash.

Christmas Cards

Chris reminded me about my Christmas cards I'd made the other week. Whilst visiting her blog just... I saw her fab cards made using a Cuttlebug folder. Really quick, but stylish cards. I thought I better get mine uploaded on to my blog....

I made a selection of these using up scraps of card for added colour. The sentiment was printed on the card via the PC before I put it through the Cuttlebug. Pearls are from stash and are no longer wonky like they are on the photo lol!

Sketch Saturday ~ Sketch #22

I'm just loving all these sketch challenges. They're the one thing I never bore of. Sometimes I think the hardest part of making a card is deciding where to put everything and these sketches take all the hassle away! It's never easy making a sympathy card at the best of times. I never know what image to use or words, let alone how to put it together. But as I have a card to make I thought I'd use the sketch at Sketch Saturday. I think its worked out quite well too!
CS ~ stash, DP ~Art Class 101, Raspberry Road Designs, image ~ Stampendous ( I coloured the stamp with my Whisper Markers, warmed the ink by breathing on it and then stamped it on the card) ribbon ~ stash, Martha Stewart Doily Punch thingy ~ RAK from Dawny P, thanks Dawny, I tried to blend it in with the paper i used by wiping it with a baby wipe that i'd put colour on from my Whisper Markers (does that make sense?), pearls ~ stash, sentiment ~ Studio G clear stamps.

Another Birthday Card!

This is the last card need for the MIL's birthday....I really enjoyed making this card, I love the papers, I think they're a Raspberry Road Design (but not 100% sure on that) its called Cherry Picking. CS ~ leftover, Tilda ~ RAK from Jill coloured with Whisper Markers, flowers, ribbon and gems ~ stash, sentiment ~ PC generated. The chair image is clipart...I've been googling again! I can't afford to buy one of the WOJ chair stamp that are absolutely gorgeous so I decided to be resourceful instead of stropping cos I can't have one pmsl! I think it works quite well too, so I like it even more now!

Secret Crafter ~ Challenge #4

This week's challenge is a sketch layout set by DONNA. You can use the sketch anyway around and for any theme as long as we still recognise the layout.

Well, thats all the MIL's birthday cards made now! I really enjoyed using this sketch and will definately be using it again. Cute Card Thursday ~ Challenge 33

Challenge 33 ~The Stars at Night.

This week we would like to see some stars or something spooky on your cards.

Well I'm all done with my spooky cards, I don't have anymore people to send them too, so I'm not going to make them for the sake of it. I do however have lots of birthday cards to make. Andy's family seem to like November for birthdays ... there is only his youngest brother and Andy himself who don't have birthdays that month... his parents and 2 other brothers do! Which makes a total of 16 cards I have to make in November just for them, without ones that Vicki or my Mum want me to make!

This is what I came up with... CS ~ stash, DPs ~ Alexa crazy, freebie download ages ago! Image ~ Joanna Sheen, coloured with Whisper Markers, Raffia ~ Poundland, starfish ~ basket of shells from Skegness, peel-off ~ stash, used the old mini stitch sewing machine again, am really enjoying the effect!

I know its not a star at night, but the card I was going to show was one I'd made last week for my friends little boys birthday and I don't seem to have taken a photo of it...doh! That was a space themed card, had an astronaut on it and stars! Anyhow, here's hoping a starfish counts!

Friday Sketchers ~ Sketch #25

Claudia Rose is hosting this weeks sketch #25. There is a faboulous prize, kindly sponsored by Thomas Hammond from Scorit....
CS # stash, DPs ~ Carrie Stephens free download, image ~ Joanna Sheencoloured with Whisper markers, swirls ~ cut with Cuttlebug, bling ~ stash, flower ~ Dovecraft punches.

A Fab Day, Cute Card Thursday Challenge 32 & Papertake Weekly ~ Frightful but Delightful

Gosh I've had such a productive day today. Did those 4 cards for DH's brother this morning, then this afternoon I've managed to make Rylee's halloween cards to send to family and close friends, 16 in all! I'm also going to enter this into Cute Card Thursday's Challenge 32 ~ Autumn (Fall).

Edited to include the Halloween Challenge #22 at "A Spoon Full of Sugar" We would love you to create a card using the theme of Halloween. I think this one passes for that!

I like to add a photo to these card so that family and friends that dont live close can still see how he's growing. CS ~ stash, DP ~ Shabby Princess, holiday sampler, cobwebs ~ Magnolia Fall stamp, spider ~ Home Bargains (part of the glow in the dark spiders web with 12 spiders, only wanted the spiders! 59p). Friday Sketchers ~ Sketch #24 & SCSC #3

This weeks sketch at Friday Sketchers is courtesy of Heidi from Norway. I just love this sketch and know that I shall be using it again! Just noticed that the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge is to make a blue card, so gonna enter this for that challenge too!

I decided it was about time I made myself some Christmas cards and have set my own challenge, to make at least 1 a week for the next few weeks! I just love how this one has turned out and might make a few of these with the images I have. CS ~ Crafts Central, DP ~ Pink Petticoat and freebie download from somewhere, ribbon ~ stash, snowflakes ~ cuttlebug die, image and sentiment ~ brought from ebay and coloured with Whisper markers and Sakura glaze pens, snowman blinged with Glitter Snow found in the back of my draw from last year! Sewing done on lil' machine.

I've made this card, which is actually a wallet lol, for my parents. They arrived back from Malta the early hours of this morning and haven't yet seen the photos that I took at their golden wedding celebratory meal. So, I've made this to put them in (the photo's not the parents). CS & DP's ~ Leftovers, image ~ RAK and, bling and blooms ~stash & RAK (sorry dont remember who, but thanks anyway!) coloured with Whisper Markers and a candle ....
... which has the best photo we've ever managed to get of Dad!

This card was one I did last weekend and wasn't going to put on my blog, but Rach said I should! The reason for not wanting to show it was because its based on one that Rach had made. When I saw it on her blog I just loved the colours she'd used and thought how well it all went together. I explained this to Rach and she said to put it on my blog anyway. So thanks honey mwah! CS ~ Papermill, DPs ~ Summer Driggs, buttons ~ stash, raffia ~ Poundland, Sentiment~ done on PC.
This I made a couple of weeks back but just haven't had time to blog. Another last minute card for Fae. CS ~ stash, DP ~ Derek M Designs, image ~ ebay, coloured with watercolour pencils, Whispers and Sakura pens, pearls ~ Crafts Central.

Wow!

Yesterday my postman bought me 2 nice envelopes each packed with the most amazing goodies! The first to be opened was one from Rach. I'd asked Rach if she would kindly stamp me one carpenter Steve, so that I could make a card for my best friend Vicki to give to her Dad. Well, she sent me more than I asked for along with some other gorgeous images too all inside the most beautiful card....

The next envelope I opened was from Becky, she'd also sent me a gorgeously cute card full of the most cutest images and a wonderful stamp with the most fab sentiment .... not sure if she chose it specifically with me in mind lol! Second thoughts she couldn't have, it didn't say nutter pmsl! .....

And then today OMG if all that wasn't enough i got this..............

off of Vicki!!!! Amazing or what? It's just perfect and I love it, but I've decided I'm not going to spoil it by writing in it .... oh no! I'm going to type everyone address that I have, print it out and stick it in... might even sparkle some of my special friends lmao!

So you 3 lovely ladies I want to say the hugest thank you and send you the biggest cyber hug and wettest, sloppiest kiss! You are truly angels!

After that I thought I ought to do my good deed of the day. My good friend Suzie is having a hard time at work (new manager, who's apparently evil), if it isn't bad enough being an account manager at a bank at the moment, she also having hassle from her new boss. Suzie is one of the most kindest, generous people I know and because she wont sell hard the boss has taken a dislike to her. She hates going to work and it has made her lose all interest in fat club too! When I called her for a chat last night she sounded so p***ed off that I decided to do something to make her smile. Off I went to Fran's blog cos I'd seen something on there a couple of weeks back that I wanted to give a go.....

I gave them to her tonight and it worked they made her smile.....! CS - printed with Summer Driggs ~ Energy, images ~ RAK from Kathy, coloured with Whisper Markers and Sakura Glaze, green CS, flowers, brad, ribbon and tissue paper ~ stash. Inside the bag I put a selection of one cup drink sachets and some weight watchers biscuits which are wrapped in pack of 2, I put the points value on a sticky label along with the flavour and stuck to the each pack. So thanks Fran for your fab idea!

Papertake Weekly Challenge ~ Katharina's Sketch #13, 2 Sketches 4 You ~ Kazan's Sketch 11, Mojo Monday week 56 and A Spoon Full of Sugar #21

Yesterday when I collected Rylee from nursery at lunchtime I also bought Fae home with me! As she bent to get him out of the car at nursery, he put his arms up and ended up poking her in the eye! During the morning her eye swelled, kept watering and was very painful making her feel dizzy. She phoned the GP and managed to get an appointment for yesterday afternoon. To cut a long story short, he's grazed her eyeball across her pupil and she now has antibiotic eye drops she has to administer 4 times a day! Anyway, when she got up this morning her eye was ok for the first 15 minutes but then gradually became more painful, its still swollen and keeps watering and she ends up with a headache because shes squinting. So on the Drs advice she stayed home today, which gave me an unexpected Rylee free day!
I was determined not to waste my day and have made 4 cards for Andy's brother's 40th birthday next month ....God I'm organised lol!

This card is for Rylee to give and is made using the sketch from Papertake Weekly by Katharina. CS ~ Papermill, DPs ~ leftovers, sentiment ~ done on PC, brads and peel-offs ~ stash, image ~ via google, coloured with Whisper Markers, Fluffy Stuff added to cloud.

This card is for Eloise to give and is made using the Sketch 11 by Kazan at 2 Sketches 4 You. CS & Dp's ~ leftovers, sentiment ~ done on PC, image ~ via google and coloured using watercolour pencils and Whisper markers, 40 ~ cut using my Bug.

This card is for Fae & Scott to give and is made using the sketch from Mojo Monday. CS & DP's ~ leftovers, stitching round circle done with machine, peel-offs ~ stash, image ~ via google and coloured with Whisper Markers. Sentiments says "I don't wanna be 40!" Thought that he was thinking that whilst in a major strop lol!

This is the card that Andy and I shall be giving and is made using the Lim's sketch at A Spoon Full of Sugar. Not really a sugary sweet picture I know pmsl! CS - Crafts Central, DP's ~ Pink Petticoat, buttons and peel-offs ~ stash, image ~ google again, coloured with watercolour pencils and Whisper Markers.

Phew!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cute Card Thursday ~ Challenge 31, Friday Sketchers #23 & WOJ Challenge 4.

I've done a 3 in 1 this week. I'm finding it increasingly hard to find the time to fit them all in, but I promise I'll do my best! So this weeks challenge at Cute Card Thursday is Buttons and Bows. Beatrix from Germany is hosting the sketch at Friday Sketchers she has created an easy sketch for us. With this sketch you can combine different geometric elements - round things, ovalness and rectangles and Whiff of Joy challenge 4 is "Autumn Colours"

I just adore this card and think I might need to stroke it a while before I hand it over to my bestest friend Vicki who wanted a card for her fast approaching 17 year old daughter Laura-Jayne (or as I loving call her Lolly-J). The photo really doesn't do it justice, its much prettier IRL. CS ~ Pearl card from Poundland, DP's ~ Java Time from here as a free download, image ~ RAK from Kathy (which I shall post about later) she's coloured with Whisper markers, swirls are cut in brown pearl card using my new flourish die that I got this week off Ebay and my trusty Cuttlebug, coffee mug is also a die cut run through the CB, Flower ~ RAK from my gorgeous blog buddy, Jill (will show those later too), gems and ribbon from stash.
