Its flippin' freezin' here today. It's not stopped snowing since very early this morning and i've had to abandon my car down the road! I know i shouldn't have been going out in it, but i need to pay some bills and you know what its like time was running out on me, so it was either go today or tomorrow. I thought it was better today than struggling with whatever we have overnight and in the morning. The main roads around here are passable with caution, but our road hasn't seen any grit for the past week or so and with the grit boxes empty it doesn't look like they will for awhile either! Total madness when you live on a hill and in a village made up of hills. We had 2 road closures this morning, both of them main access routes into the village which left just one way in and out ... down a bloomin' big hill! My problems started when i pulled into our street ... just couldn't get enough momentum so ended up doing a turn in the road and trying from the other end! Got 6 doors away for our house before i started sliding down the road sideways ... not fun! I did however manage to park up straight and just abandoned the car ... in gear and with bricks behind the wheels LOL! And that's where its stopping for now!
