Sketch Saturday Challenge #113

I'm a bit late with this post, but life is so hectic at the moment.  My Dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer just over a week ago now and at present its a whirlwind of appointments and treatments.  Although he is OK, he's finding the treatment very tiring so its been decided that he no longer drives, therefore i've been nominated as his driver LOL!  And to top that, we're moving house on 21st August!  We have 24 years of stuff to pack up from this house and we need to be brutal cos we're losing a bedroom.

Anyway, this weeks challenge is sponsored by Meljen's Designs who are giving a wonderful prize, the challenge winner will receive FOUR digis of their own choosing from any of Melissa's images!

Friday Sketchers Challenge #111

Janneke from the Netherlands is this weeks host and has made a sketch for Friday Sketchers. This week sponsor is Digi Doodle Shop.  The winner will receive a $10 gift certificate to the store that can be used on anything except custom blog work.

Here is what i did with the sketch ...

Oh my gosh, i just couldn't wait to ink up one of my new Magnolia Stamp Club Kit stamps.  These have to be my outright favourites.  I was a little disappointed with the Spring Kit and don't seem to have used some of them and others perhaps only once!!!  But these are to die for!  I'm also loving the fab sentiment collection from Create with TLC.  I showed Paulette my fab new stamps and she came up with an amazing collection of word art to go with them called "Smooth Sailing".  You can find it on her blog and is downloadable for only $3.00 and for that you get 11 word art sentiments!

Papertake Weekly Challenge ~ In Stitches

This weeks challenge is to see some stitching somewhere on your card – that’s it!! It can be real or fake / faux / doodles.  The challenge is being sponsored by the fab Simon Says Stamp and there is a $25 voucher up for grabs for you to spend in Heidi’s shop and as she is so brill and pays for the shipping as well, you get to spend every bit of the $25 on goodies.

I've not made a card for this challenge but instead have altered something and included stitching on that ... i hope it still counts!

I've had this box tucked away in my craft box for ages and didn't really know what to do with it, but i knew i'd find a use for it!
