Cute Card Thursday ~ Challenge 21

The challenge this week is to make a card with the theme of 'In The House', anything which can be found in the home is fine.
Thought it was about time I used some of my scraps of paper up again, so thats what I used for this card. The DP is ~Shabby Princess, CS ~ Crafts Central and papermill, image ~ PIF, coloured with watercolour pencils, bling ~ stash, sketch ~ Mojo Monday, fluffy stuff on cake. I'm really pleased with how this has turned out. I just love these image of Riley Moose that I got from JellyChicks Adventures, there seems to be one to suit every occasion.

Papertake Weekly Challenge ~ Cool Yule!

This weeks challenge is to make a Christmas card. [Sighs]....it's July and the sun is shining its hot outside, and you want me to make a Christmas card.... are you mad!!? I suppose that doing some now will save the mad rush later!
So, I made this pop-up card using a tutorial I found on Dawn's blog, it's really easy to follow and good fun to make. I shall be making more of these, I've already sorted out images and CS to make another 5 of this design. CS ~ Crafts Central, image~ coloured with watercolour pencils, peel-offs ~ stash, jingle bell ~ Poundland and sentiment ~ computer generated, fluffy stuff used on hats. I'm really, really pleased with how this one turned out and at how quick and easy it was to make, whilst looking really difficult to make!

Papertake Weekly Challenge ~ Katharina's Sketch #7

This weeks challenge is to make a card using another fab sketch from Katharina. Well, i had two cards to make and thought I'd make both of them using this sketch....
Both of my cards are made using some fab doodles I found whilst blog hopping. The guy at Organized Doodles is really talented and his doodles are amazing and fit perfectly for the cards I wanted to create. I really think you should checkout his blog!

CS ~ stash, DP ~ freebie download (all details are on main computer so will check later, I'm using my new laptop!), sentiment ~ computer generated, blinged using double sided tape and glitter, image coloured with twinkling H2O's and glossy accents added to the bubbles.
This card is for Dec's 16th birthday and as I've mentioned before he's a proper boy! There's absolutely nothing girly about it at all lol! CS ~ Crafts Central, DP ~ Googled camouflage paper (it was in browns but just changed the colour to suit), image ~ coloured with watercolour pencils and Sakura Stardust Pens, used glossy accents on sunglasses and windscreen.

Papertake Weekly Challenge ~ Teenage Kicks

This weeks challenge is to make a card for a teenager and this is what I've come up with...

CS ~ Papermill Shop, PP ~ DS George cd, image ~ kerryjo stamp, coloured with watercolour pencils and blinged with glamour dust, ribbon ~ stash and pearls ~ Crafts Central. This just has to be one of my favourite Kerryjo stamps, I just love it. I've used it a couple of times now and don't think I'm ever gonna tire of it. The paper I found by accident whilst looking through one of my many cds and as soon as I saw it I knew which stamp I'd be using!

Weight Watchers went well last week I lost 3lb, unfortunately this week I gained one of those back lol! What am I supposed to eat with only 19 points a day...I can't even fit chocolate into my day anymore and quite frankly what is a girl supposed to do without chocolate! Its no wonder by the time I sit down to watch Big Brother I've lost the will to live :(

Anyway, to brighten my day I've won Steph's blog candy, which looks absolutely fab and I can't wait to get it and I also got a Sizzix machine for free off of Freecycle. If your not a member of this website then you seriously need to join. It's free to join, all it costs is your time and a little petrol to go and collect other peoples unwanted items. All you have to do is register with your local area. It's also good for advertising your unwanted items instead of taking them off to your local tip. We've had some excellent things from Freecyle and also given away quite a lot too! My friend Paula got a Mahogany double sleigh bed from her local Freecycle website. I would've been so jealous had I not got one month's beforehand from our local YMCA shop for £50!!! Try it, it's great fun and helps the environment.

CS ~ stash, PP ~ Strawberry and Lemonade (its a free download but can't for the life of my remember where I got it from), image ~ swap, coloured with watercolour pencils and H2O's, fluffy stuff on the top of the cake, sentiment done on the PC. The card is made using yet another sketcher from Mojo Monday.

An Award

I'm not sure that I should be given an award!.... I've been really bad and have been a bad blogger. I just don't know where my days go. I've also added to my hectic days by joining Weight Watchers (all Jo's fault for showing off her fab new figure thanks to her diet), so now my day seems to be taken up with converting food into blasted points! I mustn't really blame it all on Jo but she inspired me to take action not only for myself but for my 17 year old niece who is far to big for her age. My sister, neice, best friend Vicki and myself enrolled on Wednesday, I think I've lost 3 pounds already but I'll update you after my weigh in on Wednesday evening.
Anyway back to my award...

I got this award from 4 fab ladies Tracie, Jo, Kerry and Julie, thank you so much ladies it means a lot! The rules of this award is that I have to pass it on to 7 people, which is hard cos there are so many fantastic blogs out there and a lot of you have already had it! So, my suggestion is if you've not got feel free to copy it and pass it on to 7 of your favourite blogs.
