I'll Be Back Soon ...

It's seems like its been years since i last posted on my blog but with moving house, life just got in the way and probably will continue to for a good few weeks yet.  To update you all ... we decided to downsize and moved to a smaller house on 21st August.  The move went fairly well and when i look back on it now a couple of weeks on it was quite entertaining LOL.  We had a fantastic team of family and friends that helped us move.  I've never seen some many cars full of boxes before LOL!  Most of the time it was organised chaos, but we did it!  It didn't go without a hitch ... Andy cut his head open at the new house and came to show me, but i was too busy having a rage about the other peoples removal men and arguing with them to even notice ... so when he said to me 'it looks worse than it is' i didn't have a clue what he was on about PMSL ... even though he had a huge dressing on the side of his head and blood stains down his face!

We're here and happy so thats all that matters, apart from the stuff we can't find, which i'm convinced is in a box marked 'all the stuff you've lost' .  I shall be back crafting as soon as i can get the dining room cleared and everything in its place, which hopefully once the wardrobe has been rebuilt wont be too much longer.

The packing is going well ... but, i've managed to pack all my kitchen scissors!  Only got my craft stuff, the dining-room, Andy's PC and the shed to go, with 17 days left to do it in!

Yesterday, whilst packing some of the kitchen items away Mali decided to jump in my big saucepan.  Guess what we had for dinner last night LOL!

Dad Update ~ his appointment went well, after we eventually got in there 2 hours after the allotted time!  Anyhow, we're still none the wiser as to whether its spread or not.  The CT scan shows something on his pelvis but its inconclusive and he wanted to get someone else to take a look at the photos.  They can't be too concerned cos he next appointment is 8 weeks away ... so thats gotta be good surely!

Sketch Saturday Challenge #113

I'm a bit late with this post, but life is so hectic at the moment.  My Dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer just over a week ago now and at present its a whirlwind of appointments and treatments.  Although he is OK, he's finding the treatment very tiring so its been decided that he no longer drives, therefore i've been nominated as his driver LOL!  And to top that, we're moving house on 21st August!  We have 24 years of stuff to pack up from this house and we need to be brutal cos we're losing a bedroom.

Anyway, this weeks challenge is sponsored by Meljen's Designs who are giving a wonderful prize, the challenge winner will receive FOUR digis of their own choosing from any of Melissa's images!

Friday Sketchers Challenge #111

Janneke from the Netherlands is this weeks host and has made a sketch for Friday Sketchers. This week sponsor is Digi Doodle Shop.  The winner will receive a $10 gift certificate to the store that can be used on anything except custom blog work.

Here is what i did with the sketch ...

Oh my gosh, i just couldn't wait to ink up one of my new Magnolia Stamp Club Kit stamps.  These have to be my outright favourites.  I was a little disappointed with the Spring Kit and don't seem to have used some of them and others perhaps only once!!!  But these are to die for!  I'm also loving the fab sentiment collection from Create with TLC.  I showed Paulette my fab new stamps and she came up with an amazing collection of word art to go with them called "Smooth Sailing".  You can find it on her blog and is downloadable for only $3.00 and for that you get 11 word art sentiments!
