Sketch Saturday ~ Sketch #44

Today is turning out to be another slow day for me. I know there's not a lot new there cos i can be slow anyway pmsl! But i appear to have got myself addicted to Fae's One Tree Hill series and have managed to watch 4 discs of season 1 since yesterday afternoon lol. I suppose it could be viewed as good, cos at least i'm relaxing ready for my week of Rylee starting again tomorrow at 8am! I have been a good girl and have crocheted 4 flowers during my time glued to the TV so all has not been lost.
However, this morning i did manage to finish my last April birthday card off using this weeks sketch from Sketch Saturday ...

Again, i trawled through my left over DP's and found these. CS ~ stash. Image ~ coloured with Whisper Markers and Sakura Glaze. Fluffy Stuff. Buttons ~ stash. Peel-off ~ stash. Stitching ~ sewing machine. As you can see i've also decorated the front with what was left of the left overs lol!

Friday Sketchers #45

Claudia has done designed another fab sketch at Friday Sketchers.

and this is what i did with it ...

Fae asked me to make a birthday card for Scott's birthday on April 25th and this is what i came up. CS ~ stash . DP's ~ a mixture of blog candy win from Donna and left overs from a previous project. Ribbon ~ stash. Buckle and button ~ local habadashery stall at the market. Stitching ~ sewing machine. Image's ~ don't remember who it was from sorry, coloured with Whisper Marker's. Sentiment ~ Pink Petticoat.

I used the left overs to decorate the inside of the card along with another image that i had.

Mojo Monday #79

Another fantastic sketch from Mojo Monday, where would i be without all these sketch challenges!

Here is my interpretation of the sketch ....

CS & DP's ~ left overs from previous projects. Raffia and button ~ stash. Image ~ RAK from Tab, but this fab stamp can be purchased from here (fab P&P and excellent service). I coloured my little Edwin and his chicken friend with Whisper Marker's. I've decided that he needn't be just for Easter ... my Dad used to work on a farm before he had us kids, so i thought it'd be a good image to use for his birthday card in May. That's what i like about the Magnolia stamps, there versatility! Anyhow enough waffle, i decorated the inside too, cos Tab got me addicted to it ....

I used more left overs and my little stamps from StudioG. Sentiment on the front is also from the same set of the StudioG clear stamps. Stitching ~ sewing machine.

Papertake Weekly Challenge & Cute Card Thursday

Oh its been a long week this week and i've not even had Rylee today, cos its Fae's birthday so she's had the day off. But, Monday to Thursday has lasted a fortnight! I've not crafted for a week either cos of my family lunch on Sunday, which went off really well and then i just didn't have the heart to mess the dining table up again!
There's a fab sketch at Papertake Weekly designed by the brilliant Dawny P.

CS ~ stash. DP's ~ left overs. Stitching ~ sewing machine. Images ~ Riley Moose coloured with Whisper Markers. Sentiment ~ PC Generated. Photo thingy's ~ stash.

Challenge 53 at Cute Card Thursday is "Family Affair" so this fits in quite nicely with that.

Something Different

My gorgeous fairy blogmother Tab (thanks honey) has waved her magic wand again and magic'd some amazing stuff through my letterbox! Included in my envelope was the most gorgeous clasp, along with other bits and bobs for making jewellery!

I've had these heart beads in my craft cupboard for ages but never knew what to do with them ... dont even know why i bought em ... glad i did though. I made these as part of Andy's Mum Mother's Day pressie ... for my first attempt i'm really chuffed with em!

I also got another speshull envie from my other fairy blogmother Diane. Another filled with gorgeous images and twiddly bits and bobs. I'm so blessed to have such amazingly generous friends and love em to bits (you know who you all are). Mwahs

Friday Sketchers #44

Flippin' heck ... 2 posts in one day! Gotta make this a quickie cos my Rylee free time is fast running out and this weekend is gonna be hectic with not a lot of crafting taking place. (my annual family dinner party ... cooking for 10 on Sunday!)

Beatrix is the German part of Friday Sketchers international design team and is this weeks host. The challenge is sponsored by Pink Gem Designs.

CS ~ stash. Blue DP's ~ DS George. Red DP ~ Left over. Image ~ RAK from either Jill or Diane, dont remember which, but thanks anyway x. Stitching ~ sewing machine. Ribbon and star brads ~ stash. Coloured image with Whisper Markers.

Mojo Monday #78

Where would i be without all these sketch challenges?! I've managed to complete a challenge during the week this week! Don't ask me how, cos i have no idea, it just happened. I'm not complaining though cos its one more birthday card for April, which leaves just 4 to do. Although i do want to make some Easter cards, but they dont count lol!

CS & DP's ~ left over stash. Image ~ RAK coloured with Whisper Markers. Eyelets ~ RAK from Linda. Ribbon ~ stash. Round Sentiment ~ RAK from Jo. Ticket Sentiment ~ freebie download got via Digifree. Sentiment Stamp ~ it doesn't say but it came out of the bargain bin at Crafts Central.

Colour Create Challenge #7

This week's colour combination is ....

Red & Green

This is the card i have made for my Mum & Dad to give to me for my 4oth (say that quick) birthday next month. I always feel a bit left out when it comes to my cards ... out of all the cards i make none of them are for me. So i decided this year i would change that and at least i can be sure of one handmade card!

CS ~ stash. DP's ~ Summer Driggs 14 Days of Valentine. Stitching ~ sewing machine. Ribbon, flowers, gems ~ stash. Beadcap & pin ~ RAK from my VBFBF Diane. Butterfly ~ god knows where! Image ~ Magnolia Spring Stampclub Collection, coloured with WM's, H2O's and Sakura Glaze.

Edited: I've finally got around to finishing the inside of my card! I used the off cuts of paper leftover from the front and another Magnolia stamp from my Spring stampclub collection.

Friday Sketchers #43

Carole from England's turn to host the sketch this week.

The sponsor this week is CreaVil and this is some information from Dani about the shop........
CreaVil presents its articles around stamping and scrapping on a floor space of more that 110 sqm. Products from the collections of Tim Holtz, Karen Foster and Suze Weinberg, to name but a few designers, belong to our standard range of products, in addition to mounted and unmounted rubber stamps from all over the world as well as our company's own rubber stamping series. We also offer a large range of scrapbooking papers and die cutting systems. CreaVil does not only stand for creativity, but also for service. CreaVil tries to manage the impossible and helps with words and deeds.

Can you tell i'm just loving this stamp lol! Image ~ Magnolia, coloured with WM's, again i left off the butterflies and added numbers. DP's & CS ~ leftover from previous card ... hoping there are enough leftovers to decorate both insides, but never mind if there isn't! Heart buttons ~ Poppicrafts. Raffia ~ stash. 40 ~ cut using Cuttlebug and Hippy Chic Alpha dies. Stitching ~ sewing machine.

I'm doing really well with my April cards and am up to 19th April. I've decided that I'm going to make my own birthday card for my Mum to give me ... that way at least i get one handmade card. I don't usually get any!

Cute Card Thursday ~ Challenge 51

Challenge 51 ~ Celebration!
This week is a fabulous sketch designed by
Katharina, we would also like to see you create a card for a celebration with the sketch!

I'm just loving my new Magnolia's and had to use this one minus the butterflies ... he has to be one of my fav's! DP's ~ leftovers. CS ~ stash. Ribbon ~ Blog Candy win from Donna. Stitching ~ sewing machine. Image ~ coloured with WM's. Number's ~ doodled by me!

Truly Scrumptious Challenge #2

Another sketch, but there is more, although i didn't read this bit until i'd finished my card pmsl! Typical really for me! "We would like to see some handmade buttons on your card". They can be made from anything; paper, card, fabric, shrink plastic, acetate, fimo.... but they must be made by you (or not as in my case). Our sponsor for this challenge is Sketching Stamper Digi Stamps. Christine has designed a range of gorgeous digital stamp images, some of which have been used by our Design Team. The winner of this challenge will get to choose eight images to download.

I dont expect to be entered into the competition, but i do like the sketch. CS & DP's ~ Leftover's. Image ~ giraffe stamp Rubber Cottage, coloured with twinkling H2O's. Buttons and raffia ~ stash. No2 ~ cut using Hippy Chic Alpha's dies.

A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge #42

Yipee .... another challenge that involves a sketch. I'd be lost without these fab sketches! Michelle has designed this fab sketch and its also been sponsored by Bryony from Silly Monkey Crafts who is offer a £10 gift voucher for one lucky winner to spend in her online store.

Red DP ~ Think Spring by Andrea who designs the most gorgeous digikits and allows you to download them for free! Other DP's ~ leftovers. Image's ~ my new Magnolia Spring Stampclub Collection, coloured with WM's and the butterfly has extra bling .... Glamour Dust! Flowers, beadcaps and brads ~ stash. Yellow butterfly ~ in a pack with other things, flowers, stars, etc all fabric from Poundland. Stitching ~ sewing machine.

Using the paper that i had left, i decorated the inside and used another of the Magnolia stamps. Again coloured with WM's and blinged with Glamour Dust.

Mojo Monday #77

Working slowly through my challenge blogs my next is Mojo Monday with another fantabulous sketch.Holographic card ~ stash, brought from Home Bargains 59p for a pack of 16 sheets in 2 colours. DPs ~ PP and the one with bags and shoes was part of a RAK from my VBMF Tab along with the Gorguss girl image. Image ~ coloured with WM's. Flowers ~ from my speshull envie from Diane. Butterfly ~ I dont remember where that came from, but i stuck it on an offcut of a laminating sheet that's been through the laminator. Stitching ~ DaisyD's.

Papertake Weekly Challenge ~ 09 March

Another week gone and i'm left playing catch up! I'm beginning to wonder if its all to do with my age that the weeks go by so fast, cos i swear when i was younger one week would last a fortnight! A fortnight's holiday last a month and the 6 weeks school holidays laster forever!
However, i did have a really productive day yesterday and managed to get 3 cards made. I'm now onto my April card list, although i did make another birthday card for Fae (march 27th) after getting my new Magnolia Spring Stampclub Collection yesterday .... wooo hoooo!
This weeks PTW challenge is a sketch by the fabulous Dawny P

CS ~ stash. DP's ~ part of my gorgeous blog candy win from Donna ... thank you sooo much! Image ~ RAK from my VBFBF Diane (thanks honey) coloured with WM's. Banner Die Cut ~ another part of Diane's amazing speshull envie! Peel-offs ~ stash. Stitching ~ sewing machine. I've been bitten by the decorating the inside bug .... thanks Tab and Rach ... i think lol! I used all the leftover DP's for the inside.

Sketch Saturday ~ Sketch #41 & Colour Create #6

Ria created the sketch this week at Sketch Saturday and it is sponsored by Funky Fairys Papercrafts.

and Colour Create's challenge is Orange, Yellow and Green ...

Again i raided my trusty scraps folder for the DP's and CS. Image ~ RAK Jill, thanks honey! coloured with WM's. Buttons and Raffia ~ stash. Stitching ~ sewing machine.

More scraps were used to decorate the inside of the card along with a Studio G duck stamp, which is supposed to say "Happy Easter" but which i adapted to say "Happy Birthday". I've left the sentiment off the front at the moment cos the printer isn't hooked up to my lappy, and our desktop PC which the printer is hooked up to and, which i can normally connect too to send things to the printer is poorly! DH is busy trying to make it better. The sentiment will say something like "Happy Ducking Birthday" Loved the colour combo this week, it has to be one of my favs ... just love orange and green at the minute, not too keen on yellow, but it worked quite well me thinks!

Edited: I'm also gonna enter this card into the High Hopes Challenge #21. which is "zigs and zags". Obviously, my zig zags have been done using the sewing machine. There is also a prize up for grabs and this week's random winner will receive Busy Mama and the Grey Hares sentiment! This is my first entry for High Hopes, simply cos i dont have any of their stamps, fortunately though i have a stamped image and if it hadn't been for Beth i would be none the wiser lol! Thanks honey.

Friday Sketchers #42

Mumur from France has created this weeks sketch and is sponsored by "The cutting cafe".It offers 3 choices for the winner of any of the cafe sets.I'm loving this card and love how the papers go together. Once again they're all scraps and i'm now beginning to wonder if i'm ever gonna use them all ... they're never ending! Brown CS ~ scraps. Raffia ~ stash. Flowers and pearl ~ stash. Image ~ RAK from Jill coloured with WM's, i just adore this Sarah Kay image, she's soo cute! Stitching ~ sewing machine. There isn't a sentiment on this card yet, cos i haven't decided what or who its for yet! Not done the flourishes either cos i dont have one of those gorgeous stamps yet. I've looked in all my craft shops and they dont seem to sell them ... so any ideas will be most welcome.
Edited: I've finished the inside of this card now, see photo below.

Image ~ Studio G

Papertake Weekly Challenge ~ Hot Chocolate???!!!

This weeks challenge - Hot Chocolate! lol It's a colour combination challenge, the Pink and Orange is the 'hot' part and the brown is obviously the chocolate!

I dont remember the last time i actually stamped an image! As well as trying to use all my scrap DP's & CS, i'm also trying to use a lot of my stamped images that you lovely ladies have sent me. This is giving me good practice in colouring and shading and since i've made a point of using them more, I do think its improved incredibly! So thank you ladies, even though i often can't remember who sent me what, i am truly grateful!

CS & DP's ~ scraps. Image ~ RAK coloured with WM's (thanks to who ever sent it me). Ribbon ~ stash. Sentiment ~ one of those clear Studio G's. Stitching ~ sewing machine, using my new hot pink and orange cotton! I've decorated the inside of this card, (your right Tab and Rach it is addictive) but i dont have a photo cos the batteries went on the camera just after i'd taken the front and the rechargeable ones i use dont seem to be holding enough charge to power the camera up. I can't get a photo of it now, cos Fae's taken it!

Sketch & Stash Challenge #5

Another fab sketch this week and with an amazing prize for one lucky person chosen at random is a lovely tapestry stamp, perfect for creating pretty backgrounds!

CS & DP's~ stash. Image ~ is new stash and was part of RAK from someone lol ... i dont remember sorry! Sentiment ~ Do Crafts. Ribbon ~ Poppicrafts. Stitching ~ done with new cotton on sewing machine. Brads ~ stash.

Colour Create Challenge #5

This weeks colour choice for challenge 5 is ...
"Blue and Brown"

After rifling through my scraps folder i came across these two papers and decided to use those for this card. Image ~ RAK from Jill coloured with WM's. Flower ~ one of my crocheted creations. Raffia, button and pearls ~ stash. Distressing ~ done with craft knife blade, although i don't think it shows up very well in this photo.

Sorry for being AWOL

I know i keep saying it but its true ... i just dont know where my days are going! No sooner have i woke up and its time to go to bed! I do admit to being bitten by the crochet bug and have been spending a lot of my time sat in front of the TV once Rylee has gone with my crochet thread and hook making flowers. I have sent some of these out to my fairy blogmothers and still have 2 more to send too, but haven't made those yet its still a little bit of a slow process. I do intend to make myself some when i've supplied the ones i love the most with them.
I have still managed to make a couple of cards in the evenings when i could be bothered. I've also completed a couple of challenges, but they're stuck on the camera ... need to get batteries today and then i can upload them. But for starters here is a card i made using up my scraps of paper and card again .....

Image ~ RAK coloured with WM's. Flowers ~ stash. Buttons and brad ~ stash. Stitching ~ sewing machine. Sentiment ~ Rubber Romance.
